I’m looking for a five paragraph essay for a sophomore English class. The theme is based on symbolism in the book, The Lord of the Flies. 

Here’s the symbolism Essay Prompt: 
Symbols are people, places, or things that stand for themselves, but that also represent a much broader idea.  William Golding uses a number of symbols to show how a group of young boys turn into savages.  Choose three of the symbols that Golding uses and write a five-paragraph essay in which you discuss how Golding uses the symbols to trace the boys descent into savagery.  Each body paragraph must be supported with three concrete details (quotations) from the story. 

The quotes must be integrated into the writing.  I’m attaching a sample that the instructor provided but this is way too advanced for my son’s type of writing.  He writes like a typical teenage boy with very little words.  I’m only providing the sample to help with the quote integration.
